When turning 35 feels like a medical event, you gotta make a podcast about it.
35 & Geriatric is a new narrative podcast about what it feels like to hit your mid-thirties as a single Black woman in a world that insists you’re suddenly “running out of time.” Medicine has its warnings. Family has their opinions. Friends have their coaching. And in our bodies, there is the panic so many of us try to contain.
This show is my attempt to name those feelings out loud, hold them under a microscope and really examine them. The storytelling is sharp, funny and deeply personal. It is also rooted in reporting and conversations we’re finally starting to have about aging, ambition, fertility, birth rate declines, and sometimes unfair expectations we place on ourselves.
This first season is about my anxieties around aging and fertility.
This trailer is a small window into the world I’m building. The full season will explore my journey into adulthood and the messiness of navigating faith, dating, career, fertility… all the things.
